Hayden Panettiere was on stage to present Lady Gaga at the MTV EMAs on Sunday night, but the Mother Monster, for once, didn’t make the biggest sartorial splash of the set piece.
As Panettiere was addressing the crowd, a naked man burst out from backstage, leaping and skipping and showing a jolly disregard for the fact that his bits and pieces were being broadcast to the world. When he reached the former “Heroes” star, he covered up and began a bizarre conversation.
Panettiere was all too willing to give him the microphone — he professed his love for her canceled sci-fi show — and she even asked him to join her for a pint after the show. Most people think it was a scripted moment, because, well, they seemed to be awkwardly exchanging planned lines and no one came to drag the man out. This video is NSFW but it’s certainly hilarious. While presenting at the MTV European Music Awards, Heroes starHayden Panettiere was surprised by a streaker!
The Irish young man ran onstage completely nude, offering up an eyeful for both Hayden and the live audience. The stunt may have been staged, however, because Hayden carried herself rather calmly when the streaker hit the stage and no security guard attempted to stop him.
“I’m a big fan,” the guy told Hayden when she allowed him to speak into the microphone.
“Thank you, you should come grab a pint with us after,” the actress responded.
The streaker said he would “love that,” telling Hayden, “Um, I don’t have my phone on me, though. You know what? I’ll just leave you to it, and I’ll see you at the aftershow?”
