Cleveland is welcoming comedic actress Wendy McLendon-Covey to the fold: EW has confirmed that the Bridesmaids star will guest star in an upcoming episode of TV Land’s breakout comedy Hot in Cleveland, which stars Betty White as the cantankerous caretaker of a house in Cleveland where LA ladies Wendy Malick, Jane Leeves, and Valerie Bertinelli reside.
McLendon-Covey will shoot a spot as nurse in episode — set to air in January — that finds Melanie (Leeves) dating a kicker from the Cleveland Browns. The actress was memorable this past summer in Bridesmaids as Rita, the cynical bridesmaid cousin to Maya Rudolph’s Lillian.
The third season of Hot in Cleveland premieres on TV Land Nov. 30 at 10 p.m. Several other guest stars — including Sandra Bernhard and Kathie Lee Gifford — have already been announced for the upcoming season.
