Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has posed nude for Playboy in a deal worth nearly $ 1 million, the TMZ celebrity news website reported on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila).
The actress, who has faced a string of legal problems and is currently on probation, had wanted $ 1 million and balked at an initial offer of $ 750,000, TMZ reported.
But Playboy boss Hugh Hefner recently came back to Lohan with an offer below her asking price, but close enough for her to agree the deal, it said, adding that shooting for the Playboy spread began over the weekend.
A spokeswoman for the actress declined to comment, telling Agence France-Presse, “I am neither confirming nor denying the reports.” Playboy also had no comment on the report.
The star of Mean Girls was turned away from the Los Angeles County morgue last week, after turning up late for community service ordered as part of probation terms, officials said.
Lohan appeared handcuffed in court on Wednesday last week, but was later released after paying $ 100,000 bail, and a probation violation hearing was set for November 2.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner said during that hearing that Lohan had failed to complete the 480 hours of community service as ordered for her jewelry theft conviction.
Lohan was sentenced to 35 days of house detention in May, as part of a plea bargain over the alleged theft of a $ 2,500 necklace from a jewelry shop near her home in Venice Beach.
Sautner ruled that she had violated her probation for a 2007 drug and drunk driving offense when she allegedly stole the necklace on January 22.
